A Unique Approach
Originally, more than 30 years ago Complete Services Inc. our parent company was started as a home maintenance and repair company. We built our reputation on timely responses to the calls we received and by delivering what the customers needed. It didn’t take us long to realize that the people of Cincinnati were missing a way to update their kitchens without investing in a full scale remodel.
We founded Countertops By Design by educating ourselves on the most current countertop replacement products that were available. And using the best techniques to fabricate and install countertops in Cincinnati. At a time when no one else sold direct to homeowners, we created a new industry trend by selling direct. Very early on we learned that educating our homeowners about the products we sell and why we offered them would be a key to our success. Using only our own employees and no subcontractors to offer the best quality for our homeowners became one of our key values. The founder always said, “In order to work for us I need to be able to trust them at Moms house” and still today if we wouldn’t trust someone to work at our Moms house, they won’t be working in yours!

Common Sense one-stop shop for your remodeling needs
While color and design trends are changing faster and faster here in the Ohio Valley, it doesn’t make sense to throw everything away and start over so often. Trends change every 5 – 10 years on average. Changing out an entire kitchen to fit into the current trend cycle doesn’t quite fit our sensibilities. Countertops by Design was born from Complete Services to fill a need and help our customers do what made sense. Our tagline was developed – “Give your kitchen a new look, just replace your countertops”. We filled a unique niche then and still offer countertop only replacement services today. This service is as popular now as it was then. Updating your worn and tired countertops in just 1 day will more than likely remain popular for years to come.
Our customers all around Greater Cincinnati embraced us and our concept and began to ask for more. We leaned on our years of experience in home maintenance and repair and partnered with a cabinet companies to begin offering turnkey solutions for kitchen remodeling. We became a One-Stop Shop for kitchen projects and evolved into Countertops and Cabinetry by Design.

We found that the easiest way to grow our business was to take great care of our customers. Our customers would return to us when it was time for bathroom project, tile backsplash or laundry room projects. Once again we educated ourselves on the available options so we could share our knowledge with our customers. We partnered with tile manufacturers and suppliers who shared our values on delivering quality products and services. We only buy from companies with a good reputation of standing behind their products. Although our name didn’t change this time our focus broadened to fill the need for turnkey solutions for all types of tile projects.
Your Neighborhood Family Business
We opened our first neighborhood showroom and fabrication facility on Route 42 in West Chester to make us easy to find. We have since moved our fabrication facility just a few miles away, to Castle Drive in Mason.
